AV8 3rd Eye & Corsair TWINX 1024-32002C

Like most I've had a terrible time with the AV8 3rd Eye MoBo.

Per the Corsair RAM Config utility I have purchased TWINX1024-3200C2 1Gb DDR400 XMS3200 Dual-Channel Memory w/Heat Spreader.

Will this be fully compatible with my AV8? And what settings should I change in the BIOS if any?

I do plan to Overclock my CPU which is an AMD 64 3500 90nm core, is there anything I should consider there?

I'm currently using Crucial memory which although older was recommended by the Crucial website config utiliity and it is not fully compatible.

Your comments are appreciated.

Cheers

These modules should be no problem with this MB. And you can use the settings bellow as a reference. In addition, please get the latest bios before you start as well. And I would suggest you use slots 3-4 for the modules.

With this MB I would suggest you set Dim Voltage to +2.7 Volts:

CAS Latency CL=2.5

Row Cycle Time tRC Bios Default

Row Refresh Cyc Time tRFC Bios Default

Ras# to CAS# delay tRCD 3

Row to Row delay Bios Default

Min Ras# Active Time tRAS 6

Row Precharge Time tRP 3

Write Recovery Time Bios Default

Write to Read delay Bios Default

Read to Write Delay Bios Default

Refresh Period tREF Bios Default

Enable 2T Timing Disabled

Then test the system with http://www.memtest.org and make sure it's stable! If you have problems, I would set Enable 2T Timings to AUTO and test it again!
