SoFrio
I have a bad memory module. CMX512-3200C2PT. It fails memtest on a single bit using pattern bfbfbfbf gets bfbfbebf, one location only. The test has been run 3 times with the same results. I would like to RMA. They were bought as a pair of TWINX. What do I need to do to RMA? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 11, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 11, 2004 Please put the memory module on slot 1 & 3; make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB, and set the following settings on your BIOS; TwinX1024 or TwinX512-3200C2PT Advanced Chipset: Memclock Mode: Limit Memclock Value: 2:1 (DDR400) Bank Interleaving: 4/Enabled Burst Length: 4 SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T Jumper Free/Frequency Voltage Control: Spread Spectrum: Enabled CPU FSB Clock: 200 DDR Voltage: 2.7/2.75 Volts All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure! SoFrio
Tried the settings. I still get the error. One module checks out fine. The other module gets a single bit error at memory location 08893edc: expecting: bfbfbfbf actual: bfbfbebf
