Got a bad module

Hi, I am here because I read on the warranty stuff that this is where I was supposed to be so...

I have a bad module:

Right before it died, it was giving me random read/write errors, and would intermittently fail the POST memory check.

It also crashed my system, stating that physical memory address "blah blah blah" failed checksum, and I would get the worse bluescreen of death you can get.

Finally when it really died, the system would not even POST, until I pulled the stick.

Now the system runs fine with just the other stick, although a bit slower.

I was under clocking the RAM at, I think, 384MHz.

The Ram is PC3200(400MHz).

Spec. info.

CMX256A-3200C2PT XMS3202V1.1

0306036

XMS 3200 256MB CL2

-Thank you

Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
