np_EAGLEEYE
I have VS1GBKIT400 on Abit AV8 with Athlon64 3500+ , I have stability problems with it. Sometimes I got Bluesreens or other error messages containing memory adresses. I run memtest 8 h with no errors, but when I use Prime95 it doesn't pass the selftest, I always got "rounding error" . I read in the prime95 forum that this is a hardware error. I've contacted Abit supportand they say that I should raise the memory voltage to 2,7V. I did it but it doesn't work, is that maybe not enough? How much voltage can I use with the moduls without losing warrenty?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 10, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 10, 2004 The maximum voltage setting that you can set your memory module will be 2.9 volts; anything above 2.9 volts will void your warranty. I do not think you have talked to Abit, I believed you have talked to us. Since there will not be any MB manufacturer that will ever suggest to increase the voltage of the memory module. np_EAGLEEYE
I'm running my pc now with DRAM Command Rate of 2T and auto voltage, it seems to be stable now, but is nearly 5% slower now. :(:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 11, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 11, 2004 Timings for VS1GBKIT400 should be Cass 2.5-3-3-8!
np_EAGLEEYE
First I run the moduls with spd settings. Seems that this was not right, I configurated it manually and now everything is fine. Thanks for the fast support.
