airmoz
System: Intel D865PERL MoBo Pentium 4 - 2.8C ghz 800mhz FSB Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PT RAM eVGA GeForce FX 5700 Ultra VidCard Creative Audigy 2 ZS Soundcard Rosewill Case w/ 400W PS + 2 Fans WD 100GB ATA/100 IDE HD Plextor CD-RW WinXP Pro SP2 No overclocking, all components with most recent drivers and BIOS. My system runs great for all applications and gaming.....and then all of a sudden, REBOOT. Every time. Sometimes it takes 30 min, sometimes it takes 3 hours. Only time it doesn't reboot is when the system is idle with no applications running. Very frustrating. I've made sure all components are seated correctly, RAM in the right DIMM slots, tried different BIOS settings (not a lot of options on the Intel mobo). I ran MemTest overnight, no errors. Formatted HD and did a clean install of WinXp. Also, I originally had the Corsair Value twin pack. I exchanged the modules for the XMS series twin pack but the problem still persists. I am completely stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 9, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 9, 2004 Are you getting a BSOD message? If so, search for it at http://www.microsoft.com/TechNet as that might help you diagnose the problem as well. Other wise I would try and change the system configuration and see if the problem changes, like I would remove the Sound Card for a Day and see if the problem changes!
