kenshin_17
Hello, Recently I just bought the Corsair Value Select 512MB PC-3200 DDR400 SDRAM (VS512MB400) and i have a Corsair Value Select 512MB PC-3200 DDR400 SDRAM (VS512MB400C3) currently in my machine. I installed the new ram on Saturday and all was fine but recently my computer does not seem to boot up, if i take out the new ram (VS512MB400) it boots up fine or visa versa (VS512MB400C3). When both rams are installed my computer just simply does not boot up at all and my monitor just continues to blink, is it because using the C3 and the non C3 ram are conflicting with each other causing my computer not to boot up at all? I also noticed it say on bootup it displayed "DRAM Timing is too tightly , so reload timing" Any help is greatly appreciated my computer specs are below if it helps anyone figure out the problem P4 2.8 MSI 848P Neo Motherboard Seagate 120gig 8mb/cache hd Maxtor 40gig hd
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 9, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 9, 2004 First of all, I would personally not recommend to mix and match memory modules in your system; it may or may not work, but we can not guarantee it. Please get the VS512MB400C3 module replaced with the VS512MB400 to the place where you bought it from, and see if the problem still persists.
