phorton
Dear Hoh: I recently purchased a barebones system. The specs are as follows: Intel P4 3.0 GhZ with hyperthreading 2x 512 Mb Corsair RAM sticks MSI motherboard WDC 120 GB HDD NVIDIA FX5500 video card I put the system together. I would randomly get a blue screen, or the system would crash. I was able to get XP to load. It also looks like some windows components are missing (i.e. in the folder options, most options are missing). I originally thought this was a HDD problem. I had WDC send me a new one. I have also run the Windows Memory Diagnostic. On all tests (INVC, LRAND, MATS+, WINVC, WMATS+, Stride6) it has failed. The BIOS is recognizing all components. Please help me. Do I need to replace the RAM? Thank you in advance.
