Can two pairs of Twinx1024PT DDR500 Modules (4GB) work on my AV8 motherboard?

I currently have a the Corsair Twinx1024 Dimm 4400 DDR550 (pair of 512 modules totalling 2GB), If I order another pair and install it on my AV8, will I need to make any adjustments to the AV8, and will it be compatible with the AV8? Thankyou for your help. The Goal I am trying to achieve is to have the fastest Ram totalling 2 to maybe ever 4GB or memory.

If you have a suggestion for a different module. I would consider that as well. Thankyou

Sincerely

Yes you can run 4 modules with this MB, but there are few things that you should consider.

1. There is more loading on the memory controller with more modules and you may not be able to over clock as much with 4 modules.

2. You will need to figure about 48 Watts just for memory and depending on your system configuration you may need a 500 Watt PSU or bigger.

I would suggest that all of the modules be identical in part# and revision and I would start with these settings and test with http://www.memtest.org to make sure the system in stable.

Dim Voltage 2.8 Volts

CAS Latency CL=3.0

Row Cycle Time tRC Bios Default

Row Refresh Cyc Time tRFC Bios Default

Ras# to CAS# delay tRCD 3 If over clocking set to "4"

Row to Row delay Bios Default

Min Ras# Active Time tRAS 8

Row Precharge Time tRP 3 If over clocking set to "4"

Write Recovery Time Bios Default

Write to Read delay Bios Default

Read to Write Delay Bios Default

Refresh Period tREF Bios Default

2T Command Rate Enabled
