Seabee
I built my new mechine based on the above MO, when I was building it I ran a little short on cash & settled for a gig of Giel value series PC-3200,with a CAS of 2.5 6 3 3, everything runs fine, even OCing the ram to DDR450, Oh by the way I'm running a P4 3.2E HT 1MB L2 Cache. Well anyway being the spoiled middle aged male that I am, I want to get the best memory I could when I could afford it so I purchased a gig of the CMX512-3200XLPRO matched pair, and thats where the problems started :[pouts: , it runs OK most of the time, but then I get an OS error and windows shuts down, if I try to OC at all I get OS errors and it shuts down. I never get any of these errors running the Giel memory, and it kind of hurts my feelings to spend this much $ on memory and have all these problems. Here are my complete system specs if it will be any help. Wired
Your chipset doesn't like the RAS to CAS Delay set to anything other than 3. Try these timings: CAS Latency: 2T RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T Row Precharge (tRP): 2T Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 5T
