fritzman
Hiya. Looking at buying some Valueram from a guy on e-bay for my Toshiba Portege M100, but can't find it listed. Here is the link to his sale... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6720179187&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT It quotes a model number of : VS1GSDS400 but I can only find this in 256 & 512 sizes... makes me pretty curious. Also... will it be compatible (and adequate in performance) for my little lappy? Thanks Ram Guy
Wired
FYI, you may want to read the warranty info for Corsair's memory: http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/warranty.html
fritzman
Cheers... I understand that it voids the warranty, but I have never had a problem with a piece of Corsair Ram yet. My issue is that I cannot find it listed on the SODIMM page.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 8, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 8, 2004 According to the Data Sheet for this notebook VS1GSDS333 will be whats needed, but I am not sure you will find this module easily. However, it only shows PC-2100 memory on the Data Sheet. Many of the OEM notebooks will not post with faster memory, so you might ask the Toshiba if you can use DDR333 memory as PC-2100 1.0 Gig modules may not be available. wazoo42
I wanted to follow up on this because I had the same question, does the VS1GSDS400 officially exist? If so, can I get a spec sheet somewhere. I would like to put two of these in a ferrari 4000.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 4, 2005 Yes the VS1GSDS400 is a legit Corsair Memory model number; unfortuantely we do not provide any specification or data sheet on our VS modules, the basic specification of this module is as follows; 200 Pin DDR SODIMM PC3200 Non-ECC Unbuffered memory module
