I just purchaced an abit kv8 pro motherboard, and put two 512 sticks of ram in it. It only recognizes the ram in dimm 2. I can switch the ram around and it still sees only dimm 2. If I put one stick in dimm 1 it sees it. The system runs fine either way, but I want my gig man.

Athlon 64 3400+ 1mb cache

abit kv8 pro v1.1, bios ver 16

two sticks cmx512-3200c2pro {one is v1.1 the other v2.1} cas2.5, 2.7volts

pc power & cooling 410 watt power supply

PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME :(:

I am sorry, but with most MB's today the memory may need to be identically matched. And one of the reasons we came out with Twinx sets of modules.

I would try and find another use for the older module that you have and then just get a Twinx1024-3200C2 for best performance.

If that is not an option for you, you can try and RMA both modules, but I would suggest you send an a email with a copy of the form or all of your info name address and phone# and the Module part# and copy the link to this post and email it to Rma@corsairmemory.com; but explain that you need 2 modules that are the same revision.
