Wired
What is the exact part # of the memory? Has any of the HW in this system ever been tested with other stuff? Have you tried one stick at a time in each slot? Also, try setting the RAS to CAS Latency to 3.

I am about to test another set of memory to comfirm issue! I have used some spare memory and attempted to reinstall xp incase corruption from my new ram. Windows xp is now installing ok with old memory. Is this a config issue or is my memory damaged? UPDATE : Tried different settings for ram and cas 3 seems to work! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 5, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 5, 2004 I would check for a Virus or Trojan. Is this a new HDD or are you using one that is from another system? If you can get another HDD I would try a fresh FDISK and Format and install of the O.S.
