Corsair K95 LED Dying

I purchased this keyboard about a month ago and within a week of my purchase one of the LEDs went out. I thought nothing of it since it was on a key a never used anyways. But since then I have been having LEDs go out every few days. As of right now 6 LEDs have gone out. I did some searches on the forum and noticed i wasn't the only one having this issue and it is a known issue. After spending $150 on a keyboard I didn't expect to be having this kind of problem. It seems the general consensus is to submit an RMA and receive a new one. My question is did I just receive a faulty older model? Or if I RMA it will i get another keyboard whose LEDs will start to fail within a month?

It is a bit disheartening to think that I will have to keep on submitting RMAs if they LEDs keep on failing. It seems like I will need to have another keyboard to use while my K95 is getting RMA.

  • 3 months later...
Have had the K95 for about 6 months so far and no problems except recording macros. I don't do it a lot, usually about 4 macros are all I need, but having access to all the others is really nice. I need to be able to record not only the keys (a,b,c, etc) but also the other keys (enter, shift, alt, etc). I have not been able to do either and must be missing something. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!!
