greatg
I'm a bit concerned as an early adopter of the K70 RGB that there hasn't been much communication from Corsair with regards to the many issues that folks are experiencing with these products. I know that you are busy with "logo gate" but how about reassuring us that this $$ piece of hardware was the right choice for me/us to make! Toasted
While there are no sticky threads on issues currently being looked at, Corsair does look into issues but one thing i find lacking is communication/keeping users updated on progress on some bugs/issues which may be harder to resolve. E.g. Corsair's response to a issue with the firmware/software. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showpost.php?p=731710&postcount=
Schwartz
The keyboard feel and construction of the keyboard is top notch and I really liked it. Unfortunately I ended up returning mine because of all the problems I had. I had all kinds of different problems. On day one after getting everything setup I had problems with the keyboard causing my pc to stick on the bios startup screen for up to 5 minutes with just the scroll lock LED blinking before the PC would boot. After a couple of weeks they came out with a software and firmware update. That seemed to fix the boot problem but then I started having new problems. The LED animations would freeze up on me and not work until the software was restarted. The keyboard itself would frequently stop working after the PC would sleep and the software would say device malfunction. I would have to unplug the keyboard and then plug it in again to get it to work again. I tried using both USB 2 ports in the manner as described and I still had problems. I tried using a single USB 3 port in the manner as described and I still had problems. None of my other keyboards have ever given me a problem. I have a Logitech G710+, Microsoft Sidewinder x6, and I have an original Corsair K70; all work with no problem on this PC no matter where I plug them in. Overall it was a disappointing experience. The software and firmware just felt like it needed more time in the oven. They did come out with a new software and firmware update but it made new problems for me. I waited as long as I could to see if they could fix the problems. I can't be sure they'd ever fix the problems so I decided to return the keyboard before my return window expired. Maybe down the road they will get it ironed out and it will be worth checking into. Right now I need a keyboard that works consistently and that fact wins out over sometimes working LED animations. Keeping silent is not winning customers - I'm seriously considering a return. At this point its not worth the $$ or the aggravation from a company that doesn't support its products.
