Nem2k
does anyone know how one would go about replacing the power and hdd LEDs on the front panel of the 760t? I'd like to switch them out for a colour that matches my colour scheme and the red LEDs on the black case are just a bit jarring Whats the best way to dismantle the front panel/io? Muse
I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I really wish they hadn't put red LEDs on the black case. Not everyone that wants a black case, wants red LEDs. What if you want a black/blue or a black/green combination? The red LED power button was a BAD decision IMO. They should have kept it neutral (white) or given us the ability to control the color. Locking people into one particular color scheme (black/red) is really unfortunate. This really frustrates me because otherwise, the black version of the 760T would be EXACTLY what I'd want to buy.
Corsair Employees Corsair Dustin Posted October 14, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 14, 2014 I'm not a fan of the black and red color combo either, honestly. I'm forwarding this thread to the PM, maybe in the future we can take this under advisement. :)
Muse
Thanks Dustin! I was so close to buying this case... but just couldn't bring myself to do it because of the red power LED. So now I'm waiting to buy the 750D instead... but only if George can get a new front panel with open grill finished in the next month or so. Otherwise I will have to look elsewhere. Corsair Employees Corsair Dustin Posted October 21, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 21, 2014 Obviously we'd be sorry to lose you as a customer; have you considered a different case, like the Air 540? Understanding it's not a tower enclosure, it should still otherwise meet your needs. Alternatively you could go "down" to the Obsidian 450D, which does have the white LEDs and front mesh already. Muse
Yes I have seriously thought about the 450D. In fact, I even posted a thread on these forums asking for help choosing betwen the 750D and 450D, here. My only gripe with the 450D is that I need more front panel USB ports. Between my Corsair Vengeance 2100 wireless headset charging cable, my tablet, my phone, my ipod nano, and the unifying receiver for my wireless keyboard and mouse (along with at least a dozen other usb devices I use like flash drives, etc.) I need lots of front ports. Sure, I have a lot of things like my Belkin Nostromo, my WACOM Intuos Pen Tablet, and the usb extension cable for my headset's dongle plugged into the back I/O ports and then wired so those devices reach my workspace nicely. But it is too much trouble to get back there for the stuff I use most often because my desk is big and made of solid oak. It also has a massive hutch on top of it which makes running cables behind my desk a pain-in-the-buttocks. I do also like the Air 540. It is really attractive and would hold all my stuff nicely... the only issue is, that my aforementioned desk has custom build shelving on the sides to hold my computers. The dimensions of the shelves are 10" x 24" so, unfortunately, the Air 540 won't fit because it is 13" wide. Out of all the cases on the market (trust me I've spent months researching them all) the only two that I really like, that also fit my needs and space requirements, AND have extra large side panel windows, are the 760T and 750D. But, thanks for trying to help me out! I really appreciate it. :)
snapper69
Get a 750D (or a 450D) and a USB hub (powered?)
Muse
That is a good idea... and I will probably go that route (with the 450D) if George doesn't come through with the new front panel for the 750D soon. But I'm willing to wait it out a bit to see what happens. But I'm afraid I have now hijacked this thread... Back to the point: All my problems would be solved if there was a simple way to change the color of the power LED button. Then I could get the 760T in black, and be on my merry way! :D
Corsair Employees Corsair Dustin Posted October 23, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 23, 2014 Oh but I wish there were. Honestly I'm not a fan of the red LEDs either; I know blue LEDs on black is played out, but it's what I like.
EXILE157
I just don't get what makes Corsair think people love only Red&Black theme? I almost went Red because of the 760T, but I refused to neel down. I myself love Black&Blue theme, to me black&Blue has a calm relaxing vibe  and fits technology better compare too the Evil Red Empire theme... snapper69
My 750D has subtle white LEDs, although the power one doesn't work, which are hardly noticeable.

Corsair Employees Corsair Dustin Posted October 29, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 29, 2014 Let's just say that RGB case LEDs are something that...a few of us here want to do. ;)
Muse
RGB is the new black! LoL! Seriously, with all the new fancy RGB keyboards and other peripherals making their way to market at the moment... I figure it is just a matter of time before cases start doing that too! How cool would it be to have your PC case, headphones, mouse, keyboard, etc. all sync with the same lighting color scheme!?!?!
