afss07
I load into the software, and it pops up telling me I need to update the firmware. I tried that, and then tried to adjust the lighting. It didn't work, and then told me the keyboard status was "malfunction" so, I rebooted, and it was still "malfunction". I uninstalled the CUE, rebooted, reinstalled it, rebooted, now it wants me to update the drivers, but it won't actually install them. Also, I still get "Malfunction". I just want it to work man, is that so hard? I added my advanced report, hope this helps. I should also add, it's plugged in via USB 2, and yes, I plugged in the arrows one first. ::: BIOS Name : BIOS Date: 01/11/13 16:18:14 Ver: 04.06.05 Manufacturer : American Megatrends Inc. afss07
UPDATE: It's Steam. Every time I load Steam, the lighting and effects stop working. That's obviously a problem.
afss07
UPDATE 2: As pointed out in another thread, loading steam, then unplugging/replugging the keyboard seems to fix the problems, so whatever it is, it happens as steam is loading. Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted September 27, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 27, 2014 I tried loading steam and not experiencing the same issue Afss07. Can you attach the log under when your keyboard malfunctions? (Settings -> Support -> View Logs)
afss07
OK, I think I got the attachments right. I did get mine working, as long as I unplug/plug when starting Steam. I hope this helps!0.txt1.txt2.txt3.txt
Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted September 27, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 27, 2014 Afss, you don't physically need to plug and unplug. Try using the BIOS switch on top (switch it from 1-2 for example) to reset it.
afss07
hmm... oddly enough, I just loaded Steam to try to test out using the BIOS switch, and it had no problem this time! It loaded up without error, I didn't have to unplug or use the BIOS switch.
