movieman03
I invested in the Link Commander. I have upgraded my system and now need another cooling node. They are not available... what other options do I have to connect another set of fans to it? I will be adding another radiator along with 4 more fans that I would like to control if possible. my current cooling node has 3 fans. Can I get a link mini and use that with the link commander? either plug it into the commander or another usb port on the motherboard??? thank you for any ideas,
wytnyt
from what i understand it isnt advisable to run 2 link commanders as they will interfere with each other. you mention your node has 3 fans on it so that leaves 2 headers left ,,,you can get 2 y cables from Corsair and be able to add 4 more fans on the node but keep in mind the node has a 2a max on each header and 4amp total overall. movieman03
I was hoping to be able to run the mini as just a dummy hub and connect it to the regular commander. Using it exactly like another cooling node. What do people who have just the mini use to control more than 6-12 fans..assumuning a max of 2 fans on each of the 6 ports?? red-ray
How many fans do you wish to control? With a mini and H100i you get 10 or 20 with 2 per port. I guess you could also plug your existing cooling node into the mini and have even more.
