quake3trust
Hey, I just got the corsair K70 RGB keyboard and in the software, it keeps telling me device malfunction. I tried unplugging and plugging the USB plugs but the problem still persists. Then I tried to uninstall and re-install the software but the problem still remains. I don't know what to do anymore, if any of you got the problem, please help :).

SadTater
I had this problem as soon as I got mine out of the box. Try resetting your PC with the keyboard plugged in. It worked for me.
blurryphoenix
If that doesn't work, have you tried updating the firmware for the keyboard? I know it prompts you when the software is installed, but I can imagine a lot of people just skipping over it.

quake3trust
I just fixed it I think, this was the problem. In the device manager under Keyboards, my Razer Deathadder drivers were still there and once I uninstalled them, I didn't have this issue anymore. So anyone who has this problem go into your device manager and delete your previous keyboard drivers and hopefully it will work for you as well! :)

The_munc_e
i been messing with this thing for hours now. Try updating the firmware. The latest is 1.12 I think. I'm still having boot issues, when booting my PC, but it doesn't seem to be as bad. I hope nothing happens to my PC because of it.
cor9
I'm experiencing this problem too. At first I got rid of it completely by uninstalling the drivers of my old keyboard and other old drivers that aren't needed anymore, as suggested here. But now it happened again, totally random, and I could only get rid of the malfunction by rebooting the PC. This is really frustrating :/ ... Actually, this is happening to me all the time today. Can't use the driver and profiles like this at all :/ Is Corsair looking into this, btw?
negativedan
Happening to me randomly as well. Didn't start until I installed my M65 RGB and now both devices take turns in the malfunction state.

With regards to malfunction issues, please ensure that you have the latest BIOS revision and chipset drivers (as well as 3rd party chipset drivers) installed on your system. If you have steam installed, it may be best to manually load the CUE software once Steam is loaded.
