Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 3, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 3, 2004 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB and load Setup/Optimized default settings before you try and set the following BIOS settings: TwinX1024 or TwinX512-4000 CPU Freq: 166 MHz (333 FSB) Memory Frequency: 100%/166 (333 FSB) CPU/DRAM ratio: 1:1 Memory Timing: User Define SDRAM CAS Latency: 3T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 4T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T DDR Reference Voltage: 2.7 Volts AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200 or 9600) or NVIDIA (5200 or 5700) then 1.6 Volts suggested!* All other settings are motherboards defaults Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!

If they do not show the same part then we will be happy to replace them. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 5, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 5, 2004 Most likely the other stick of memory module that you have was our first version of our PC4000 modules, which at the time there was not an official JEDEC specification for the 4000, so those revision were detected at PC3700, but they should perform and work without any problem like a PC4000.
