zalo2188
So someone else who had bought an RGB mentioned he was having some input lag when typing really fast so i tested it out on my keyboard by spamming keys. I ended up getting the same thing. I would stop spamming and keys would still be registering on as if they were lagging behind. During this though i ended up locking up the keyboard and had to turn it off/on. Now i'm not experiencing the issue, it seems a little weird. Would be nice if anyone else with an RGB would try it out to see if it happens to them as well, im not sure if its a driver/firmware issues or a hardware issue. I was on the latest firmware when i tested it out. edit: disabling "ctrl+break listening" by right clicking the corsair driver in the task bar fixes it for now. Anorax
My advice is to uninstall the CUE software, reboot, and then test again. The software is a bit unstable at this time. Also check what setting your USB polling rate switch is set to.
autovfx
Yes, me too. Delayed input. But not sure if its just a bunch of lighting effects doing it or if its the keyboard. Or if its the difference between the K70 RGB CH-9000063-NA and CH-9000068-NA models. it all works fine I love the lighting effects, but I think the lighting might be slowing down the inputs? not sure but can confirm. I didn't have this problem at first, but as I began making more complex profiles it began to get worse. not I have about a 1/2 second delay between keystrokes. :D
CaptainScience
I know that the whole "me too" thing can be seen as unhelpful, but I'm getting the same issue. I think it's important for Corsair to know it's an issue experienced by multiple people. I type pretty quickly (90+ WPM) and I'm getting significant input delay when I'm typing at this speed and it's really driving me nuts. This keyboard is otherwise a solid piece of hardware. For instance, I will type this sentence as quickly as possible then take my hands off the keyboard and watch it complete without me touching it. Is this just what we get for being early adopters? What I mean to say is, are Corsair working on the issue? Otherwise I'm going to have to return the board...
zalo2188
I know that the whole "me too" thing can be seen as unhelpful, but I'm getting the same issue. Its not even that i'm trying to figure it out, i'm just hoping more people chime in to see if its spread on all keyboards so someone at corsair can become aware of the issue. So thank you for posting!
TheGainbow
With USB polling set to 1ms under Arch Linux 64bit with no drivers installed, there is no input lag when spamming keys. I would imagine the issue lies within the software, not the keyboard and it's hardware.

I would imagine the issue lies within the software, not the keyboard and it's hardware. That might be it.I play a lot of osu(rhythm based game where you have to click on a keyboard pretty fast at times) and just noticed when i click really fast the whole game starts lagging out. Edit: Just tested it out by quitting the corsair driver and the input/system lag is lost. Hope they see this so they fix it
Dajinn
I also have the same issue.
autovfx
I solved this problem, by unplugging my kb for about a minute and letting the actual processor in the board reconnect to the software. I had significant input lag and now it is completely gone.
Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted September 12, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 12, 2014 Thanks guys, we'll look into this.
CaptainScience
FIXED (Temporary?) If you right click the Corsair driver icon in your toolbar (not the taskbar) next to the time and disable "ctrl+breaking," the delay disappears. I talked with James and he says the majority of users won't notice any issue without ctrl+breaking, and as far as I can tell, it fixes the issue. Ideally, a firmware/software/driver update will fix this completely.
TheGainbow
Also check what setting your USB polling rate switch is set to. If you look in the software, that switch actually doesn't do anything aside from make the keyboard show up as a new device so you have to wait a while for it to get detected again. This excludes BIOS mode.
Maeventura
What's the purpose of that CTRL+Breaking? Curious about it.
Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted September 19, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 19, 2014 Its typically for coders and people who use Command Prompt. It stops the scrolling of the window, for example. Most users will never use this feature honestly.
Maeventura
Ah, works like the pause/break button near scroll lock. I don't code, but used that button like half a dozen times in 18 years of computing (mostly blue screens XD ).
