ssnyder
I'm seeking a memory module that is equivalent to the old CM754S256-BX2 product. Specifically, I need: 1. PC100 (or PC133) 2. registered RAM 3. CL2 4. ECC (preferred, but not essential) This is for use in a GigaByte GA-6BXDS motherboard. Recommendations? Thanks. batook
Hi, You have probably already found the RAM you need, but in case you're still interested, I have one stick of Corsair CM754S256-BX2 256MB PC-100 with ECC for sale. Email me at Removed not allowed for more info. Later, Batook I'm seeking a memory module that is equivalent to the old CM754S256-BX2 product. Specifically, I need: 1. batook
batook That is not permitted on the forum. And that module will not work with his MB Sorry RAM GUY, I wasn't aware. I should have read the Rules FAQ I suppose. But for the record, he was requesting something "equivalent to the old CM754S256-BX2 product", which is the exact chip that I have. I didn't know it wouldn't work in his motherboard, and apparently he didn't either. I'm actually trying to sell it because it wont work in my Intel SE440BX-2 board. So...what type of board does this chip actually work in? Will it work in most server boards, since this is a registered SDRAM? (I'm pretty sure its registered and not unbuffered because it has ECC and the Corsair website says that all Corsair ECC is registered). What makes this chip so incompatible? Corsair has no info on this chip due to its age. -Batook
