MajorFoley
Hey guys, first post on this forum. The k70 seems to have everything i want that came with my Sidewinder X4 keyboard when i first got it. Media keys that arent bound by a function key, backlighting etc. My only concern before i want to buy this product is the fact it has open sides. Why is that? wouldn't that make it easier for dust to get into the switches?
MojoVersion8
not sure how dust proof switches themselves are (I have yet to see any keys acting strangely due to dust) but having them this way makes it really easy to clean out hair and such
iky
from what i've seen, the switches are fairly enclosed, so i'd imagine it would be difficult for dust to get literally get inside the switch. however, having it open and the keys raised a little does make it easy to clean :p:

Still seems a little weird to me Well worse comes to worse im pretty sure i can return it if i dont find it favorable, my comp shop is decent like that :D
Corsair Employees Corsair James Posted September 9, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 9, 2014 Most of the dust (and skin cells) will end up on the backplate between the key switches. Keeping the keyboard clean isn't difficult at all (as any of our Vengeance K70 owners can verify) if you have some sort of air duster.
Muhad
Just use a pressurized can of air to blow the dust out once a month.
