Melty3219
I recently purchased the Corsair Vengeance 2100 wireless headset and so far there has been nothing but issues. The volume on the headset is incredibly loud, volume must be dropped to around 2% in order to get it to a reasonable level. in addition to the headset being incredibly loud the bass distorts quite a bit with audible hissing sounds when no sound is coming through. Searching these forums reveals that this could be a driver issues with Windows 8/8.1, these issues were reported back over 6 months ago but still no fix has been issued. I have tried to reinstall the drivers and software multiple times, formatted my PC and even installed them manually but to no avail. I wouldn't think I have a defective unit as this was brand new and only opened a few days ago. Does anyone know any possible workaround or fix? I love the design and features of this headset but if there is no fix I might just return them to Amazon. EDIT : I have tested the headset on a Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9 and they work perfectly fine, the volume is normal with no hissing or distortion. keeping the volume at 50% allows for a good listening experience so this issues is only with Windows 8.1.
