nick29
Hi all I have an issue with my AX1200i. On every cold boot my mb doesn't post (All fans + gpu fan working at full speed).Tried putting only 1 stick of ram each time and tried disconnecting everything from the system. The only way i can get it to post is to leave it working like that till the mb reaches 26c and then restart. If i shutdown and leave it to cool for about 15 minutes again it wont post.If ambient temperature is above 26c it boots with no issues...After going into Windows stress testing for hours with no issue.Psu fan doesn't go on at any point..(is that both temperate and load dependant?I think it should turn on around 400-500w.My system draws about 420w under load) Tried my old Tagan psu and that doesn't have any issues and the AX1200i works ok with another pc i tested it on.. Thanks in advance for your help
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted September 5, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 5, 2014 Could be a power good signal timing issue between the motherboard and the PSU. If a newer BIOS is available for your board, try flashing it.
nick29
It's on latest. Also tried the original bios the board came with.I'm not sure what temperature has to do with it..Its like there is a setting somewhere in the bios that prohibits the board to post if under a certain temperature... Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted September 5, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 5, 2014 I doubt it's temperature. Probably time... but not temperature.
nick29
Yea but when ambient is above 26c it always boots with no issues .Is there any setting in bios that can help some what?I re flashed the bios again and the board did something that it didn't do before. The psu started all fans were at full speed and then it shut down and started again without issues. As it was booting i got an error that bios 1 has failed and it switched to bios 2 .It did this once only.I tried to make it do it again but nothing.I think if i flash the mb again it might do it again ..It's really weird :(:
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted September 6, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 6, 2014 26c is nothing to a computer and its components... Besides, you said it didn't do this with another PSU and that this PSU works in another PC.
