VCSIV
Greetings, As I'm planning to purchase the Asus Z97-Deluxe board soon, I'm looking for advice from those much wiser than I... I'm considering the purchase of the following RAM: Vengeance Pro As this is not listed in the Asus QVL, I'm wondering if anyone else has successfully gotten this to work reliably. I welcome all suggestions and recommendations. Thank you in advance.
HOODedAssault
I've used like 40 diff kits of ddr3 on a ton of boards and never had an issue. Any ram that's not on the QVL is just as likely to not work as ram that is. I've never even looked at a QVL.

It is (economically) not feasible to actually test all possible memory and motherboard combinations. So that it isn't listed, only says it was not tested. It probably does work just fine. Also most ASUS motherboards nowadays have very good memory compatibility in general. So don't worry too much about it.
VCSIV
Thanks to both of you for the quick replies; I greatly appreciate it. It makes sense that the RAM should work with the board without issue. My only concern was that IF, for whatever reason something didn't work, Asus would simply wash their hands of the situation due to the "non-QVL approved" memory.
