dn7309
I'm planning to make a build that include a corsair CX450M for my family in Vietnam and was wondering if PSU sold here will work over there. I heard that all corsair PSU accept 110 and 220 volts, and since Vietnam output 220 volts, I'm good right?
thenosbod
do you mean CX430M Compatibility •Auto-switching circuitry provides universal AC input from 100V – 240V. taken from http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/cx-series-cx430m-modular-atx-power-supply-430-watt-80-plus-bronze-certified-modular-psu
Word of Madness
Check the accepted input voltages like listed above. Most Corsair PSUs are universal input aside from some low end 240V only ones.
sandstorm1
also the wall plug is most likely different than the one you would get with the power supply.
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted September 5, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 5, 2014 You'll need a power cord for Vietnam. That's all. The PSU itself will work fine. Sometimes Vietnamese buildings will use the same outlet we use in the U.S., but typically they use the CEE 7/7 they use in the E.U. But those are pretty common. Could probably even buy one here in the states and ship it over to them with the PC. ;):
dn7309
Thanks for the reply. I was worried that the psu might just short out if I plug it in Vietnam for the first time.
