I have differents 3-pins fans attached to the CL and they work correctly. Some (today all) are also 60 mm fans with 4500 rpm or more and CL (v. 2.4.5065 for my PC-rig) control them correctly. Only one is hard to "domate" with a custom curve, but I can control with "%" and differents profiles.

I have also attached 2x140 mm fans (3-pins with led!) at my H100 and they are controlled perfectly, now I've two Noctua and two original Corsair fan (@2700). In some cases the choice of the consumption (in A) for the fans is stricty necessary. Also for the Cooling Node.

Really I don't know, for my personal experience some fans have to be "domated" by CLink...

The 4 pin PWM fan with 0.2A seems to be a good choice, considering also the max static pressure (2.18 mmH20 at 1600 rpm).

I remember, but i should be in error, the max amperage supported by CLink is 3A totally and for each channel the max is 0,6 A. But if you search in some threads you can found a correct info.
