iCSvision
Hello guys! I have a big question... I have motherboard Gigabyte EP45-UD3P and right now i`m using a Kingston KHX6400D2LLK2/4G (dual channel kit 2x2GB). In a few days I want to buy another kit of 2x2GB dual channel kit of Corsair XMS2 DHX 4GB 800MHz DDR2 CL5. Will it work at the same voltage and latency? Thanks! emissary42
I'd try to run the older kit with the timings of the TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX first. That should probably work out better, because of the more standard timings. However there is no guarantee it will work and mixing memories, even more so with different manufacturers and specifications, is generally not recommended. iCSvision
My actually memory runs at 5-5-18 CAS 5 with 2.0V without problems. So I think that Corsair memory will run the same, no?
iCSvision
The Corsair memory works without problem with the Kingston kit. The question is: I keep both at 2.0V (beacause Kingston needs that voltage). On the Corsair it says 1.8V. Will be there any problems if I keep at 2.0V ?
