deathdragon1987
Hi all, First time posting, so not sure if this is the right part of forum. My question is about the cable connecting the PSU and GPU. The end that goes into the PSU is a "type 3", it has 8 seperate pin holes, however there are only 7 pins/wires. Is that normal? Thanks for your time.
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted September 2, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 2, 2014 Yes. On one side you'll see that only 7 pins are populated, but if you look at the wires you'll see there's 8. Two wires are crimped into one pin. harryhoudini66
Correct. I recently made one of these and as stated above, there are two cable crimped on to one pin that connects in to the GPU connector.
