Superd
Add me to the Pile of people who paid 150 bucks for what they thought was a quality product. Im on ~month 5 of my keyboard and keys die almost every day for the past 2 weeks. Im up to 16 keys with dead LEDs. Has there been any word from Corsair regarding the replacements? Did they fix the issue or will I be paying 30 bucks shipping every 4 months to get a replacements till the warranty runs out. I might just say screw it and buy another brand. Has anyone done replacement LEDs themselves yet? I tried googling but found nothing. Gonna have to do something after the warranty runs out. :(
mrdecoy84
In the last weeks I had 5 dead leds (0, B, left win, 1numpad, end) and 3numpad was on the way...dimming. So I've decided to replace every damn led with some bought on ebay (3mm cold white 7000mcd 3.2v-3.4v). Today I've spent all the afternoon unsoldering, soldering and checking. For now, all seems good, I have my keyboard back at 100%. I'll let you know if the new leds die or not, and if it is worth replacing them :) Cheers PS Few months ago I sent my old K95 in rma for the same reason and in a month they gave me a new one, but the latter is even worse
ED209
I am also on my second K95 with LEDs failing faster than the first. I'm not going to send this piece of trash back to corsair every few months until the warranty runs out so I'm going to replace the LEDs myself, if I destroy my keyboard I will be happy to buy one from another manufacturer instead. But I don't really want to replace EVERY single LED, just the burnt ones...so how do the 7000mcd 3.2v-3.4v ones match to the originals? They don't have to be spot on I guess since the backlighting on each key is quite variable to begin with, depending on how the face reads.

I don't know how many kelvin degrees but anyway not very noticeable. Nevertheless...let me ask you...what if another ONE or TWO leds fail? Will you disassembly the whole keyboard over and over again? chemie
I asked for and got paid return shipping on my second replacement. For me, it was LEDs that were going to 50% lite when thery were supposed to be unlite. Probably a current leakage issue on the PCB
Everth
I feel THIS is the right post to write on.. It is a common problem, we know that leds aren't forever.. Anyways something seems to relate with firmware because it's atleast unusual that you'll get different "50% light keys when turned off" every time you do make a clean install over again.. My Shift and D keys turned off in a week after months of worthy use. Should I expect more of them dying soon? 50% lit keys Shift and D :(
SusiBiker
Haven't used my K95 for a couple of months... G14, L.H. Shift, C, E, 0 (in top row of numbers) I bought this because of my poor eyesight and my inability to learn touch-typing Most annoying!! Time to return it under warranty. SusiBiker
Thank you James. Most kind. Susi xx Edit: True to what James said would happen if I contacted Technical Support, an RMA was raised VERY quickly by them. Very impressed I was too. A bit less impressed that I would need to send the keyboard to The Netherlands at my own expense for what is a widely-known manufacturing fault. I was quoted a price today of £43.44 to send it by UK Royal Mail by Insured Post. I declined to take this route as you can imagine. I tried contacting the seller: Amazon.co.uk Amazon were much more gracious - They readily agreed exchange the faulty keyboard for a new replacement, but when I said that it was almost certain it would happen again as people had received multiple faulty keyboards under warranty already, they said would I like a refund? I jumped at the chance! And, here's the bonus -> it didn't matter whether I went for an exchange OR a refund, Amazon offered to pick up the faulty keyboard FREE OF CHARGE!!! The net result is that I get my money back, in full, for the keyboard, and the courier is booked to pick it up from my home address on Monday at no extra cost to me. Sorry Corsair, but THAT'S how you do service. I've not always been an Amazon fan, but I have to admit this has changed my attitude greatly towards them. I still love Corsair, and my iffy K95, but I won't be buying Corsair stuff from anyone but Amazon from now on, and ONLY THEN after the faults have been identified and fixed. Thanks again James.
