AznJak
So i just installed a corsair ax 860i into my system. On start up and shut down you can hear a ping/click from the psu. I am just wondering is this normal, everything works just fine. The sound is louder at shut down.

Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted August 28, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 28, 2014 Most, modern day, highly efficient PSUs do this. That includes the CS-M, RM, HXi, AX and AXi. There is a relay that switches the +5VSB load over to the main +5V rail. It's not unusual and there's nothing wrong with your PSU.
