Doosh Bagalow
I picked up a Raptor M45 a couple of months back and as comfortable as the mouse is for me (claw/fingertip grip) I've run into a few issues with the mouse which I will list here: 1) Every time the mouse is powered on it will always be a little bit faster than the dpi it's set to. This can be fixed by selecting a different dpi and than putting it back to my desired dpi but it's annoying that I have to do this each and every time I boot up. 2) Similar to the above issue except the speed will change for no reason, the dpi indicator remains the same but the speed will definitely be different. I can't replicate this issue. I'm using the latest available firmware / software which I believe is 1.05 / 1.0.0.4 and I'm having the same issue on three different machines. I really like this mouse but these are deal breaking issues, any help resolving these problems would be greatly appreciated.
Toasted
Have you tried the mouse on another computer? Are the issues still present on the other computer?
Doosh Bagalow
Have you tried the mouse on another computer? Are the issues still present on the other computer? Yes, tried on three different machines and same problems on all three. For what it's worth I don't think it's a hardware issue, seems more like a firmware issue. Toasted
It does sound like a firmware issue, put in a support ticket and explain your issue. Technical support should be able to help you out.

I don't think these guys are going to resolve the issue.
Toasted
It seems like they want to replace the mouse, you can instead talk to a Technical Support Rep. using Skype by calling their toll-free number on their website and ask them if they have any ideas. It may end up being a replacement mouse as i have not seen this issue occur here in this forum.

I haven't had the mouse spaz out on me and start blinking in a while so I'm not going to consider that an issue anymore but the speed issue is definitely there, every time I power on the mouse it will always be a little faster than whatever it's currently set to and I have to remember to select a different dpi than back to the original one I want to use. I play a lot of First Person Shooters and if my sensitivity isn't what I'm used to using, it ruins my performance.
omricn
Same exact issue here.. M45 will always reset to default settings after a reboot, I will then have to open the corsair control panel, as soon as the control panel is opened the mouse will lag for a second and will receive the settings I've set, this tells me the issue is 100% software based. the driver will simply not load until I open the corsair control panel. Another fact to back up my claim is that my M45 profile consists of 3 different dpi settings AND back and forward buttons which I have set to the opposite of the default setting (back is rear button, forward is front button), after a reboot the back and forward buttons will reset to their default setting and so will the dpi. Also, as the OP said, sometimes (once or twice a day) the mouse will become a little faster for no apparent reason, to fix this I would have to click the dpi-up button and then the dpi-down button, this will "reset" the mouse back to my dpi settings. You may need to enable or disable Legacy USB (sometimes shown as Legacy Mouse option) in BIOS. Please connect the mouse onto a USB 2.0 port on the back of your computer and see if the issue persists. Please ensure you have the latest chipset drivers installed on your system.

Thank you Corsair guy, you rock Unfortunately this doesn't solve the random speed changes of the mouse, also one of the machines I use this mouse on is not a Windows PC therefor I don't have the option of installing the software on it. Basically what I need the mouse to do is DEFAULT and STAY ON whatever settings I put on it's on-board memory, for whatever reason the mouse is completely ignoring it's on-board setting until either I change the dpi on the mouse or a Windows machine with the software installed forces the settings on it. Any other mouse with a flaw like this would have gotten tossed in my "random junk bin" but I *really* like this mouse and would rather see the issue fixed via a firmware update or something, is it just not possible for the mouse to default to it's on-board memory settings without using the software?
