Why is the software such a piece of crap?!

Some will, others are rather hostile to my views on the quality of the CL software.

1) I needed to extend SIV to do this properly. At the moment SIV 4.49 sets 2 from Red, 3 from Green and 4 from Blue, but SIV V4.50 does this properly.

2) I didn't know how to do this and Corsair refuse to give me access to the datasheets. I have now deduced how to do this and it's in SIV V4.50.

I don't really plan to try and make SIV do all of what CL should do. All I wanted is already there apart from a firmware update facility.

Oh I see, but its not a problem, really. the fact that I can set the colors at the very least is already such a great boon. I only asked since I saw the modes and wanted to see how they worked.

In any case, I cannot honestly comprehend how ANYONE will be on Corsair's side on this matter. Even if you look at the reviews of their new k70, on Amazon, Newegg, Youtube, whatever. Everyone is saying the same thing; great hardware, garbage software.

And I know you're reading this, Corsair reps! Shame on you!

The admins killed off the other thread and said that buying and selling is not allowed. I wonder if I am allowed to post asking for unwanted or faulty CL hardware to be donated for SIV development and regression testing.
As per the PM, trading's not allowed either. Please take this type of communication off of the forum, thanks.

I've fixed that since that came from a mini flame war.

I suspect in time SIV will have most of what you wish for, I have just finished adding customised names and cycling colours. These names are saved in the registry and will persist for all future releases of SIV as I feel any software that requires the profile data to be recreated for a new releases is at best poorly designed.

A few on the forum don't really understand software development or realise what is possible. Some even think CL failing to report CL hardware that SIV reports is acceptable .

The I/O error 31 can usually be fixed by setting EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled to zero. You can do this using the SIV [Link Devices] panel. Uncheck the button and press the button to the left of USB\VID_1B1C&PID_0C04 to restart the device. Having done this then the I/O Error 31 should be gone from the [uSB Bus] panel and if you restart SIV all should work.

I think you need to work on your UI a bit, in what world is a checkbox a button xD

But really, your program is amazing and the only reason more people aren't using it is the weird confusing UI.

I think you need to work on your posts a bit. Do you really think I don't know when I should use a push button . In time you will discover things sometimes get implemented in a hurry to solve issues and the initial implementation is not ideal but does what is needed. SIV V4.50 Beta-01 looks as below, but posting this image would not have helped the guy with the I/O Error 31.
