Optix78
Hi folks, I'm putting the finishing touches on my MSI/Corsair mini-ITX system (specs are listed) and was thinking of adding some LED fans to show things off a bit, but swapping out the stock fans on the H100i has me wondering if it will negatively affect the cooling performance. The included H100i fans have a higher static pressure than the LED SP fans so could I get away with only using two LED fans, or would I have to install four on the radiator (push/pull) in order to equal things out? At this point I'm not even sure I'll have the room to make a radiator sammich since I'm still waiting on my GPU to arrive before I can do any test fitting to check the clearance. Any input would be a big help. Thanks!
HOODedAssault
They should have the exact same static pressure at same rpm. Stock h100i fans just have a higher max rpm. You'll never run them on max anyways as its obnoxiously loud n u necessary for cooling performance. Get 1 set of led fans n b happy.
Optix78
Duh! You're right, sorry. I'll still do a push/pull setup if space allows. It's an e-peen thing I guess. Another question - do you know if the fan speed is stored on the Commander Mini? I have one coming and will be using it to control the fans, but if it's all software based, wouldn't Windows have to load before the fans are scaled back?
