hackerbob
Hello everyone, my first post here! I have been using my current system for a few months now. Looking to add an ASUS ROG Front Base to my build but I am wondering what I should do with the incompatibility between Corsair Link and AI Suite. The two don't play along nicely and I am hoping to be able to control everything under AI Suite. I also have H100i running in push/pull with four SP120 High Performance Edition fans. At the moment AI Suite is showing 0 rpm for both my CPU fan and CPU_OPT fan. Also, I have an AX860i I would also like to hook up to my whole build. I don't mind controlling all the Corsair components with Link. The problem here is that I only have two USB 2.0 ports on my motherboard. And in the past my CPU fan was showing 2300rpm on Link with all four fans. Even at idle the fans were never slowing down. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance! wytnyt
you need to decide on just one controller unfortunately..how are your fans hooked up? you also can buy a http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-IU01-Internal-Expansion-Black/dp/B0031ESKJA/ref=sr_1_10?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1408679709&sr=1-10&keywords=internal+usb+port for extra usb ports it has great reviews and also small
Dwindleflip
the fan speed reported as 2300rpm is actually the pump speed i believe. i have no conflict between ai suit and link, but i dont run corsair link all the time, i just load it to set the fan profile then exit it. Ai suite wont report the actual cooler fans or control them. thats controled by the h100i on board unit
wytnyt
2300 is the right rpm for the pump and it is a fixed speed,,,aisuite is also very picky on what fans it likes... it sounds as tho you may have your fans connected to the m/b,which if is the case then link cant control them that way... hackerbob
Thanks for your quick replies guys! I have all four of my H100i fans plugged into the cooler itself and then USB 2.0 on my motherboard. The front and rear chassis fans are plugged in directly to my motherboard. If I still get the Front Base then I wouldn't be able to see my fan speeds at all with it.
HOODedAssault
Asus bios has very good fan control options in bios. I would setup profiles in bios for the motherboard fans and use link in windows for h100i. Then delete Ai suite because it is a garbage program. Optimum situation is use a fan controller for all fans. Once you do this you'll never go back. Software is a hassle. Especially on these hydro units as fan rpm makes very little difference. My h105 has about a 1-2° diff between 1000rpm and 2500rpm on fans. Pointless noise.
hackerbob
I don't mind choosing to use only one controller, but is there any particular one that is better? Corsair Link doesn't display all my fans so I guess I can hook up something like http://www.corsair.com/en-ca/corsair-commander-mini and plug everything into this. Or I can try to use Fan Xpert 2. wytnyt
or get the corsair mini and have it control your hydro and case fans.. hood like bay type controllers,,,me,,,im lazy as i hate to turn knobs:D: but either one gets the job done...
hackerbob
Any idea where to get it in Canada? Not having much luck. On a side note, noob question with how to connect my H100i and AX860i together and control both with Corsair Link.

hackerbob
I am going to contact my local suppliers to see if they can get their hands on it first. My cousin who lives down in Seattle was able to get me a quote on the Corsair website and to ship it to Vancouver costs an extra $20 USD. Too much in my opinion. Or might as well drive down and grab one myself!
