Any news for the availability in Europe (specifically Germany)?

Inventory should be landing in the EU by the end of the week. Our webstore will update from "Coming Soon" to "Add to Cart" when the inventory actually gets received.

when can we expect Link 3.0 software to release for this as well. I know 2.7 just came out, but figured 3.0 will be better for this

Just getting 2.7 out now and polished up. 2.8 has not even started yet. 3.0 is pretty far off.

Sorry thought I read somewhere that you you guys will be going to 3.0 for the next release, didn't think you were continuing the .1 increases, Either way works for me :)

When do you guys to have these ship out, just ordered 1 on the corsair store.

Looks like you are in the US so it should ship out pretty quickly. The parts are in inventory so once the order is placed and gets processed the units should ship out in a day or so.

What about those of us that purchased the original (failed) Link? I have spent over $300 on the original Link and cooling nodes. I have had an RMA as well (through Corsair Mike on the EVGA forums) I also have spent countless hours reading these forums and trying every trick under the sun to get the Link to work as advertised, including all new fans, all to no avail.

So what do we get for being Beta testers of the first Link? Do I have to spend another $60 plus shipping to finally get what I should have gotten in the first place, a working Link? Do we get a discount on the new Link Mini? Free shipping maybe? Will the Link Mini actually perform as it is advertised to?

Will Corsair try and make it up to us somehow or is my $300 a total waste?

A pat on the back delivered entirely by your own sense of accomplishment, and... that's it.

I think many of us (evidently not those guys above) have grown wary and will be awaiting reviews before jumping on this wagon.

most know that corsair allows replacements for virtually any reason as long as its still within its warranty

one cant complain about this.

So are you saying that Corsair will replace my $300 non-working old Link for a new working Link Mini for free? If that is so, then you are correct, I will not have any complaints. But if it is anything short of that Wytnyt, then I and others have a real and legitimate complaint. The real sticking point is that the warranty on the old Link is one year and it is past that .

However, the damn thing never really worked AS IT WAS ADVERTISED TO BY CORSAIR from the beginning, so I feel as I am sure others do as well, that Corsair really needs to step up and offer us SOMETHING to help mitigate our having invested our hard earned money in a FAILED product. And before you try to tell me that it wasn't a failed product, just the face that the original Link and the cooling nodes were pulled from being sold long before the Mini has come out speaks volumes.

you just need to see both sides,,if i had a product that didn't work id obviously have it replaced to the point where if i couldn't get it ever function,id take further measures in perhaps even getting a refund or perhaps a credit towards something else..

and the link offers a year warranty to decide what avenue id need to take.

you can call me a fanboy as in the past but i wouldn't wait till my warranty ran out and/or a new revision hit the market before complaining,,if one gets replaced then its a cascading effect to where even i could get 4 new mini's too,,after all mine hasn't been perfect but i decided it performed enough for me...

im not taking Corsairs side nor yours but just looking from a neutral standpoint and yes if a product fails i surely will not wait,,ill get it taken care of ...

i remember on my first link i had problems,,ramguy sent another to me,within an hour after getting a tracking #,,i realized a node molex wasn't getting connection, ramguy still had me keep the node ''just in case''

what im saying is Corsair will do most anything for a customer when theirs a warranty...

I have had a new Link and 3 nodes sent to me after the warranty was past and guess what? They still didn't work. It was nice to get them but it didn't fix the problem.

And if you look at all of my previous posts, I have been quite vocal in my complaints about the Link from the beginning of this fiasco, so please get your facts straight before you claim that I have waited until a new revision came out to complain. It is false. You are wrong sir. Corsair kept trying to fix the problem and I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I kept trying fix after fix after fix. I WANTED the damn thing to work right. I HOPED that they would get it to work right.

All I ever wanted was for Link to work as it was advertised to.

Am I asking too much for my $300? I only want what Corsair advertised. A fan controller that WORKS. Nothing more and nothing less. So it seems no amount of RMA's or new fans or software and firmware updates and HOURS and HOURS of my time can get the Link to work AS IT SHOULD.

It hasn't really worked from the beginning and the fact that they discontinued it is a tacit admission of that. Warranty or not, Corsair needs to step up and consider doing something, anything for those of us who feel misled and ripped off. You can try to convince me otherwise but the bottom line is that I have spent $300 and I don't have a product that works as I was told it would. PERIOD.

So now I am faced with a dilemma. Do I trust Corsair with my new build or go elsewhere with my dollars? I am sure that I am not the only one contemplating leaving the Corsair fold permanently. All I am asking for is a little good will. Maybe a discount, maybe free shipping. Something, anything to help mitigate our bad experience.

Or even just an apology. But in your opinion, even that is too much to ask.

I would really like to hear something from a Corsair EMPLOYEE and not just a fan. How does CORSAIR feel about all of this?

I am not even going to touch the Commander Mini until they release the LED strips to buy separately in September. So you guys can beta test and work out all the bugs.

I also currently have one of the new HXi series power supplies in my Newegg cart but wont pull the trigger until I know Corsair Link bugs are fixed.

I would like to balances some of the negative comments here with my first hand experience of the Corsair Link Commander Mini.

Of course every ones experience is subject to their hardware/software combination its being used with, so if you had bad experience, then yes I agree, software needs further improvement (it's also known as software development..hehe!) and a good company will always want to listen to feedback of its customers to improve its products (Link Commander needs this more).

I set up Corsair Link Commander Mini in my ageing Corsair AX860i powered Asus P6T Deluxe (Socket 1366) with i7 920 D0 system with 6gb Corsair CMS3 DD3 Ram , this sits all inside a XSPC Water Cooled Corsair 600T Case that at present just has its 2 standard Case fans and a additional PWM 120mm fan at the rear (exhaust). I am running Windows 8.1 (shock horror!)

What I wanted to do was make the system quiet as possible (my system is running at 43c to 45c, so I think it should be able to cope with no fans at all)

I used Link Commander to take control of all 3 existing fans, I set up profiles based on CPU temperature being reported by the motherboard, I am using the built in RGB LED controller to change the case colour based on temp (White 45c and Fans off, Blue 50c Fans 60%, Red 60c Fans Full)

I was able to save the profiles for all settings, can get reading from all the devices (PSU, Fans, Motherboard, CPU, GPU, System Temp etc) so it seems to be doing its job.

The only Issue I have so far is that I can not switch off the fans completely (they are not PWM) so I think its down to the voltage cotnrol or some thing, e.g. I can set the Exhaust Fan from 600rpm to 1850rpm, the Corsair Case Fans from 400rpm to 850rpm), so yes I would like to be able to switch them off, but as its so quiet at low rpms, I can live with it.

I did also buy the Lighing Node too, which gives me 3 channels in total, so I will be using that to further enhance the whole build.

So far its been good with me, the reason I posted this is because, I had no issues at all, every thing just seemed to work (may be I am the chosen one or I have a build that is uncomplicated), it could also be that user issue's are caused buy conflict/compatability working in conjunction with other i devices by Corsair, such as the Hydro coolers which I dont have in my system.

Hope this helps some one.

Thanks Gangsta for that post. I'm currently building a new rig off z97. I too currently have i7 920 and p6t deluxe, paired with ax1200i all running off Windows 7 and link runs flawlessly.

I have been very apprehensive about jumping into Windows 8.1 with link but your post has calmed my nerves slightly.

I want to order the mini-commander, lighting node and some sleeved psu cables from corsair right now (build planned for weekend of the 5th september) the only thing holding back is that I want extra RGB cables and I don't want to pay the extra $4 shipping when I place another order. On the other hand I don't want to delay my build for led cables!

I got the 3 strips with lighting node, but am thinking it will be cost effective to DIY, I have ordered a roll of 300 LEDs of same standard used by Corsair for £6.49. additional extension connectors were another £5 so all cheap, will do a write up once I've created afew self made strips.

does anyone know the max load of the node or mini?

alot of money to waste on a light mod especially when buying a light node is comparable in price to other vendors led's

at least those with a good rep for quality.

me i just bought the node for the piece of mind...;):
