anyone out there know how to fix this .net error that pops up every time I load corsair link. Every time I open it I get unhandled exception error has occurred in your application, the UI doesn't show temp or fans and it's driving me nuts. I uninstalled and reinstalled both .Net and corsair link no joy. I had to downgrade my software to 2.4.5110 to get it working and it's detecting my lighting node as a H100. I do not have a H100 installed on my system. When I tried updating the lighting node firmware it doesn't work because it think it's a H100. My current OS is Windows 8.1

Try the latest software, according to the changelog the .net error should be fixed.

Thanks for the reply, I installed the new software last night everything was fine until I turned my computer on. The .Net error is gone, but the software doesn't detect my fans anymore. It detects the cooling node and the commander but all my fans read 0 RPM

So the Lightning Node is still being detected as a H100 and you cannot control the fans on the Cooling Node as the software is not reading any RPMS?

Have you tried reinstalling the software?

For the Lightning Node, have you tried manually locating the FW file for it under the FirmwareImages folder?

The fans showing as 0RPM could be the background service not running, make sure you do not have any security software preventing it from starting.

That is correct, I reinstalled the software 3 time, now the fan won't show up at all, but the software detects the node. what background service is required to run, I'll check to see if it's running.

CorsairLINK_HardwareMonitor should be running in processes...

go to your programs/corsair directory and try executing it from there...

if you mean launch the CorsairLINK_HardwareMonitor.exe from the folder, it not in there. could you post a screenshot of your corsair folder so I can compare files to see if I'm missing some

So with the detection issue, (Lightning Node as a H100) has occurred in previous versions and the current version?

What you can try is reflash the firmware and see if that helps. if there is some kind of protection, use the early version of LINK e.g. 2.1.7 and see if you can reflash the lightning node firmware which can be found in FirmwareImages.

The service will be under CorsairLINK (32 bit) under Background processes.
