Steven_belfast
Greetings Folks Does this sound like a faulty PSU or GPU? When i load any game within seconds of the game going full screen the GPU turns off, Fan still spinning on it but nothing on screen. It i hard reboot the system i can carry on until i load the next game. Now at first I thought it might be the Gpu overheating so added new thermal paste and so on, Using Gpu-z i can see the temps are not going above 55c so can not see it being a over heat protection issue on the Gpu. I have tested a number of drivers and pcie slots all do the same thing. I am running: Asus Maximus IV Extreme Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6990 G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Corsair Professional Series AX1200 High Performance 1200W Kind Regards Steven
Steven_belfast
After more testing I can play ok with no problems until I go into full screen and it utilises the second gpu more. When in windowed mode uses gpu1 - 35 to 50%and gpu2 - 9% Once in full screen both gpus get used 50 - 65%

Ahtlon
Could be a amd driver issue , remove the driver and install a older version for a try if you had updated the driver recently. Also did you checked your resolution in the game for full screen, it also could be that ingame the resolution is higher as your lcd resolution.
