ravenlord
I have recently aquired a 240GB Corsair Neutron GTX SSD, dmesg says it has the M312 firmware and I have horrendous stability issues with it. I have Ubuntu 14.04 installed (which runs perfectly on my other system), yet on this one it keeps constantly giving errors. Also when I compile something I get randomly compiler errors which normally shouldn't happen and after running the same command again, the error goes away. It looks like read errors to me. As I have no Windows system, is there any way to change the firmware without Windows? Is there any newer firmare as the forums seem to indicate M311 as the latest. I wonder why mine has M312. Toasted
Have you tried a different SATA data cable and port? Have you tried secure erasing the SSD and reinstalling Ubuntu? Note: A secure erase will permanently delete all data on the SSD.
