shockpoint
Hi, it would be great if the Corsair team could provide some perspective on this. I have always been planning to get the Corsair 540 when I was ready to get my new PC but the release of the 240 Air is just wonderful. 2 cards with a microATX board supported is awesome. However I also quite like the design of the 380T Corsair. So my questions are: How many graphics cards can you fit in the 380T? If I use a rampage IV, can I fit a dedicated sound card in there? Water cooling? Thanks!
Corsair Employees Fauxbeard Posted August 12, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 12, 2014 How many graphics cards can you fit in the 380T? :pics:One GPU, max length 290mm If I use a rampage IV, can I fit a dedicated sound card in there? The 380T is a Mini-ITX case. I'm not aware of a Mini-ITX Rampage board. Mini-ITX boards also only have 1 PCIe slot so a dedicated sound card is out of the question if you plan on using a discreet graphics card. Water cooling? Can support water cooling units up to 55mm in width (radiator and fan) in 120mm or 240mm lengths. Please note that the images are for reference only and may not reflect proper dimensions. shockpoint
Hi, thanks for the response. Sorry I meant the Maximus Impact mini ITX, not the rampage. A little confusion there. I read somewhere the Corsair Carbide 240 can fit 2 graphics cards but can it fit a sound card on top of that number?
Word of Madness
That'll depend on the layout of the motherboard and the thickness of the graphics and sound cards rather than the case.
Krisius
Hi guys, can anyone tell me if both of these cases support installing an Asus GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5? From the specs of the cases both are supporting this card considering it's length but what about the height? At the first look carbide 240 seems to have problems with this card also what abot the 380t? Thanks!
Krisius
Anyone have an answer to the above question? Thanks
10e
380t won't have problems with this card, but the Air 240 is very limited in height specification which would be risky. It SHOULD fit in the Air 240 but I know for sure it will fit into the 380T. I know my Asus 780 Poseidon would NOT fit into the Air 240, and the Strix cards are a no-go for this reason too.
