H100I not found in WIN7, fans going mad

Hi all, installed my new H100I without a hitch. Have 4 fans connected to it, 2 sp120's in my case and the 2 on the rad. I started up with no issues; got corsair link, it asked to update and after that the logo changed from white to red and the fans are spinning TOO fast. I have managed to put my fans from my rad on to the mobo cpu headers for now. I have an MSI Z87 GD65 motherboard with intel 4770k. I have tried all three JUSB1/2/3 headers on my board, tried unplugging mouse/kb etc to no avail. Can ANYONE please help me? I have saved for this rig for about a year so all I want is to use it now.

I've sent 2 back to Amazon, the 3rd one has turned up today. I'm either an optimist or a masochist. If this one doesn't work it's going back for a refund and I'll get something else.

TBH the cooler is running amazing, Link is a gimmick, but a gimmick I really want. I am going to update my BIOS and have another go...

My cooler is working well, just that the Link doesn't work, cos Windows won't recognise the cooler. Also the Corsair logo is red. I could always connect my fans to the mobo and run it without USB connections or Link and use speedfan or something. I'm not sure whether trying to update the last cooler to 1.07 bricked it.

Hope they manage to find a way to get this working... I really can't afford to send it back etc...
