Speed
I've read numerous times that we don't need to ship the old fans in, no matter what the ticket/email says. Is this still the case?
Speed
OK. I'm getting stonewalled by Customer Support on this. What's the deal? I've asked three times on this forum for an explanation and clarification on this issue and I get ignored. Seriously, what does it take for a customer to be a "Special Case"? Ticket #6500928 that has dragged on now for 21 days with zero resolution, while I see ticket after ticket handled and being granted "no, you don't have to send us the old fans". Why am I different? Give me a sound reason and I will consider. I've already waited 8+ months for things to get ironed out with the CL software and various firmwares for the connected hardware to work properly when these PWM fans are installed. From reading recent posts, it seems that this attempt may be premature but, silly me, I thought I'd give it a go. Perhaps God is telling me to wait even longer or just cut my losses and buy another product. Not cool. Pun intended, because I've now become seriously heated; hardware notwithstanding. Wasn't long ago that I was on the other side of the fence, as far as faith in Corsair to do the Right Thing.

Is this still the case? not sending rma fans back is Corsairs usual procedure unless your rma'ing a full kit such as a hydro replacement..,sometimes we need to yell as posts do get missed from time to time but do like i do and call and get the low down right away...;):

Speed
No, we normally do want fans back, this is just an exception we made back then. Ummm... back when the replacement program first became available? When did things change and where do we learn of this? Speed: I talked with CS and they'll send the fans out. Thank you, Sir! It turns out that, as a consolation, two of them will be coming back to you, as the extra work in trying to avoid an RMA on our H100i has proven unsuccessful. Although it did improve, it remains not fully responding and the workstation, now underclocked, can be used in sparing emergency situations; just long enough to get something transferred off and then shut it down. I tried but no joy. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the grace.
