Baasha
Just built a new Mini-ITX build using the Corsair 250D case. When I plug in the header pins for "POWER SW" and "RESET SW", they simply don't work. I had to turn on the computer by closing the circuit w/ the tip of a screwdriver! The case was bought brand new from Amazon. Is there an easy way to replace the switch/cable in order to use the rig properly? I really don't want to have to tear every thing down to return the case because of a simple Power/Reset cable/header. I will if I have to, however. Can Corsair send a replacement switch/cable for me to easily install? Please help!
Toasted
Request an RMA to replace the front I/O panel. Make sure you upload a picture of the invoice as proof of purchase.
Baasha
Request an RMA to replace the front I/O panel. Make sure you upload a picture of the invoice as proof of purchase. I am in the RMA website and trying to submit it but I'm not sure what the part number is for the front I/O panel. Is it this one: CC-8930224? That one says Power/Reset Panel but there is "Front I/O Panel" for the Obsidian 250D. Please help!
Toasted
I think thats the correct part. Put that in and in the comments section describe your issue. The rep. should be able to change the part# if it's incorrect.
Baasha
Okay I just received the new Front I/O Panel today. However, there are NO instructions on how to remove the old one and install the new one! The old one seems really difficult to remove - there is nothing to pull out etc. PLEASE HELP! Toasted
Put in a comment and ask for instructions for replacing the panel. It doesn't look like it can be removed from the front, have a look inside, it may be held into place with two screws or something similar.
wytnyt
you should be able to get an idea on mounting by looking at the new panel...
harryhoudini66
It actually is super easy. First remove the front cover. Then check the inside sides for the tabs that hold the face in place and press those in to remove the face. Once removed, you will notice there is one screw on the front side holding the box in place. Remove that. Then slide the box a little to the left and you can pull out the panel. The panel has another screw holding the individual pieces in place. This works on both panels i.e. power and usb and audio. Repeat in reverse to assemble. Edit: Made you a video. Uploading now and will post once done.
