loafer
Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has encountered a problem like this. I noticed last night after I shutdown my computer that the following lights won't go off. So far it's only the media control keys, mute button and the LED brightness control button. I have tried changing the USB ports it is connected to on my PC as well as swapping out the keyboard to another computer but it's still the same. Any ideas? http://i.imgur.com/zZ9sdlJl.jpg
Dims
Have you tried move the polling switch all the way to the left then back to the right. My K70 Silver/Blue at times will flash the scroll-lock light. Moving the polling switch back and forth will fix it for me.

My K70 Silver/Blue at times will flash the scroll-lock light. Moving the polling switch back and forth will fix it for me. That's the first thing I did heh. Didn't solve the problem :(. The weird thing is it never happened before and I can't seem to find much info about this on Google. :(
ithuriel46xy
Similar problem here. I found out that, after i turn off my pc, if i press any key, my k95 turns on all lights and stays that way. Cant turn them off but to turn pc on and off. Even worse, i discovered that, after i unplug my pc from wall jack, i can still turn on k95 and it will light up for another 35sec... I am no expert, but this seems to be related with dying LED problem, since most users have reported that their LED died when PC was off, not when they were actually using it. Me including. Syndicat3
Hey, Look in your BIOS for a setting called: EuP Ready It could also be called something like "Energy Saver". If you find it, enable it. This will cut power to USBs when the computer is shut down. It's off by default so people can charge cell phones, tablets, etc. ...with that said, I would discourage cutting all power to the keyboard. A lot of people's blue LED K70s died from ESD and usually right after plugging it in from a week or longer of not being powered.
ithuriel46xy
Hmmm, i see. Thanks for that info, i did not knew that unplugging can potentially damage my keyboard. I will not do it than. Really dont have clue what could cause all those LED problems... This was my only idea. :l
lilmrock44
Quite an old thread, but last month I bought a K70 Vengeance, and about a week ago, the light for Num Lock stopped working. A few days later, the lights started staying on EXACTLY like this. Firmware is up to date, and none of the four BIOS/Alternate options fix this issue. I was wondering if since this was posted, anyone has figured out a way to fix this, or if it is just a faulty board.
Toasted
Have you tried reflashing the firmware? Does it help?
adzpana
have you gone into device manager in windows and find your keyboard there and un-tick the option of the keyboard being allowed the wake the computer from sleep. i have had 2 silver k70 with blue LEDs and both had dead LEDs. i eventually got them to give me a refund and i bought the limited edition silver one with red LEDs, no dead LEDs yet. not sure what the difference from blue to reds are but that is prob why they have discontinued the silver ones and only sell black with red LEDs. anyway i did have an issue of my lights staying lit after i shut my computer down but all the LEDs were very dim. like when you start your computer and it goes through the post stage and your keyboard turns on and off. but the keyboard was connected to a USB hub, that was causing me the issue. if the device manager option thing don't work then it most defiantly is an option in the bios, usb ports should have no power after pc i shutdown, they will however have power when its in sleep mode
