Ignignokt
I just bought a pair of the new Corsair SP120 LED (purple) fans with the intention of replacing the fans on my h100i. I know, the stock fans are better. But I'm willing to make the trade off for the purple lighting. Shame on me for I did not realize these are 3-pin fans, not PWM. I've read stories of people frying their H100i by using replacement fans. Does anyone know if this will work? Thanks in advance.
wytnyt
you wont fry anything but they wont be controllable by link and will run full rpm.
Ignignokt
Okay. I think I will give it a shot. I guess the bright side if they are stuck at full RPM is that it's only ~1650 RPM. :o: Thank you for your help

Ignignokt
How do you mean? bypass the h100i and go directly to the motherboard?
