qantumforce
I fresh installed H80i and i see cpu temperature for me is to high. I have 35C- 40C in idle and iven 75C in OCCT with AVX. This is normal temperature for this cooler? For example now my cpu have 65C but cooler 35C. For me cooler should better temp. taking from cpu. This is really problem or just i think it is problem? :) (English isn't my main language and can be incorrect. Sorry for this :))
wytnyt
these are decent temps,of course ambient temp will affect things too as will if your over clocked.. you most certainly will be ok running with these temps but many things will affect temps such as the above and how good your airflow is. also the water temp will be lower than cpu temp which will run from 32-40c hope this answers your concerns... qantumforce
My cpu running on stock clocks (I changed only max to 3,9 Ghz) I have this in Zalman Z11 Plus with original fans. These are strange temps for me because my air cooler was temps like this (Idle temp even better). Only because of this a looking any answers. wytnyt
i understand but theres only a couple things to check insure the backplate has the 2 small cutouts facing to the top and also check tim spread...
qantumforce
Tighter turn is impossible :) I need to try a thick paste. This can help?
wytnyt
no,check location of the inner cutouts on the upper legs of the backplate http://images.hardwarecanucks.com/image/akg/water_cooling/H80i/backplate_sm.jpg

HOODedAssault
Don't use thick paste. Use about half a pea size dot in middle of cpu then mount cooler and hold down firmly while installed thumb screws with other hand. Your temps are quite normal anyways for you cpu. Avx programs cause cpu to spoke in voltage by .1v. Only way around this is to change voltage to manual. Check your voltage in cpuz while cpu is under load. qantumforce
Under load i have 1.201V This is definitely problem with taking temp. from cpu. My cooler never had more than 36C. This isn't normal i think.
HOODedAssault
That's normal temp at 1.2v. Your air cooler did not max out at 36°C with occasional avx.
