Bomberh
Hi, I hope someone can help me?? I have had my SP2500 for a few years and had no problems with it what so ever. This evening, I have turned it on to listen to some music and after a little while the power cut out. I checked the fuse which was ok, and checked the power socket which was ok. I plugged the power cable back in and it came on. After a short while it cut out again. I tried a different socket and the power came on again. Once again a short while later the power cut off. I then plugged it back into the original socket and it powered up again, only after a short while to power off. You can now see my frustration? The sub woofer isn't hot or getting hot, no power fuses are tripping and I am getting very annoyed with it. Does anyone have any ideas what the issue is with this? is the sub woofer on its way out and I'm going to have to purchase a new set of speakers?? Bomberh
Further to my above. I have left he power cable out for a couple of minutes and plugged it back into the sub woofer and the power comes on. After about a minute the power cuts off. If I take the cable out and do the same I can get it to power up again. However, If I leave the power cable still plugged in and wait 10 minutes, the power still doesn't come on! Any ideas??? Bomberh
There has been 80 views of my issues and no one appears to be able to help. :[pouts: I have even tried to register to get some technical help, but that doesn't work and pushes me back to the home page. I love my speakers, but this issue with the power is really driving me insane. Has anyone had the same issue? is the main part (sub woofer) broken and I need to buy a complete new set? I have a Corsair case, PSU, RAM and RAM cooler, so I like the products, but it is looking likely I will have to purchase another set of speakers and go to another company as I can't submit a ticket and no one knows what my power issue is. Any help would be grateful. ;):
Lady Fitzgerald
The reason no one has responded is probably no one reading this thread has had the problem you are having; I know I haven't so I haven't a clue what can be going on. I certainly do understand your frustration. since we are into a weekend, Corsair offices are closed and nothing will happen before Monday (face it, they are working stiffs like the rest of us are or were; I'm retired). I've seen a couple of other threads today complaining of problems submitting a ticket so mayhap there is a glitch in the system. Is your SP2500 still under warranty? wytnyt
thread views are not accurate as bots patrol the threads and being Corsair is closed for the weekends may limit responses ,however the mods do still frequent the boards so help still may be forth coming. you can also submit a ricket and have CS look into this for you which would likely be your best route... Yellowbeard
There has been 80 views of my issues and no one appears to be able to help. Keep in mind that 80 views does not mean 80 people have viewed your post. This is most likely bots/crawlers/spiders etc. And, you posted on a weekend while we're closed. My best suggestion is to use the Support Ticket System button in the red nav bar above and start a ticket. Tech support will assist you directly. Rax
I have exactly the same issue. I bought my SP2500 system in 2011 so it's out of Warranty but I haven't turned it on for two years. Now I get exactly the same issue as the person on this post. Is there a fix?
Toasted
Unfortunately, there isn't a known fix for this. You could take it to a electronics repair professional for them to have a look at it though.

Did you try to replase the cable? I had a similar problem with my PC, sometimes it didn't want to start up... I replaced the cable and all was back to normal. :)
Davie248
I have exactly the same problem, I suspect the power supply board. Has anyone found a cure for this?
Rax
I think the fact that this is happening to multiple users is significant enough for a helpful suggestion, even if it's at our own expense. Do I really throw this huge piece of what was excellent kit away (and never buy corsair again)?
