potsthedog
a little over a year ago I picked up a set of TWINX CMX512-3200LL RAM. They've been great since, and I'm quite happy with their performance. until yesterday. My local power company decided to replace a telephone pole across the street and didn't give us any warning. now I have a surge protector on my computer to avoid problems like this, but none the less - my ram is fried. I took it into the shop and had it diagnosed - they said the same thing - failed ram due to a power surge, (evidently, one small enough to avoid tripping my surge protector  ). so basically I'm looking for options. is this kind of issue warrantied? thanks for the help. -P
Wired
FYI, it may have been too large a surge and gone right through. Generally if a power surge supressor is over 2 years old, they don't really protect that well, if at all.
