sivagray
I'm currently in the process of putting my mobo into my case, however there is a standoff that is unremovable its the second stand off in the second row...even though it aligns with my mobo hole should I still cover it with electric tape? P.S. How hard should I be screwing the mobo in, I know it should be snug but its seems theres alot of space between the standoff and actual mobo hole.. http://i62.tinypic.com/2wq67pc.jpg Any help is appreciated!! No. It's an alignment pin. P.S. How hard should I be screwing the mobo in, I know it should be snug but its seems theres alot of space between the standoff and actual mobo hole.. Snug is exactly what you want. If the motherboard isn't touching the standoff, then it means something else is off. 1. The motherboard is warped. 2. The motherboard is misaligned or possibly hung up on the rear IO shield. 3. There is an obstruction under the motherboard. 4. The motherboard form factor isn't supported by the case. (if it's the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P from your signature, that's not an issue,) Once you figure out what's keeping the board from seating on the standoffs, the screws should be turned ~15 degrees passed contact with the motherboard, i.e., "snug".
