ReaperGN
This is a new build but everything has been disconnected from the power supply except for the 24pin cable. It is not connected to the mother board. What is happening is if both sides of the 24pin are plugged in the power supply simply clicks and will not show anything with the self test. If I unplug half of the cable the self test works fine and I get a green light and spinning fan. Either side of the 24pin can be plugged in and get the same results. But if both are plugged in the power supply simply clicks. Any help in figuring this out would be appreciated.
ReaperGN
This thread can be deleted. The power supply works fine in another computer and I have tracked the issue to the motherboard. Still the self test could use some improvements. For it to act up just because a cable is plugged in is not something that should happen unless there is a short somewhere. Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted July 16, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 16, 2014 You're not supposed to do the self test with the 24-pin connected at all, never mind with one or the other connected.
